ABOUT
ME!

Hello! My Name is Joshua Keen and I'm a NYC based creative. I grew up in small town North Carolina, where I fell in love with theatre. I started training and performing professionally at a young age which eventually led me to Syracuse University! I graduated in three years with my B.F.A in Musical Theatre straight into the pandemic. While the industry was halted, I was inspired to start making my own art. With 5 of my closest collaborators we formed NEXT STOP CREATIVES - a multi-hyphenate production company committed to supporting artists at any stage of their creative process. This endeavor lead me to so many wonderful artists on a wide range of projects, including: conceptual dance/music videos, short films, business partnerships, building reels/self-tapes, producing live theatre, and so much more!

As the entertainment world started to open back up I was able to launch back into performing, most notably as the Dance Captain/Swing for The Book of Mormon on Broadway and for the national tour. I proudly claim the title “Multi-Hyphenate” as I enjoy exploring creativity through theatre, dance, film/tv, music, direction/choreography, producing, videography, photography, fashion, podcasting, and whatever else I start learning tomorrow! Hopefully we can work together in one of these ways ;)

“Kudos to dance captain Joshua Keen—Nicholaw’s original choreography is a consistent source of delight, and on opening night last Wednesday, the cast gave it their all."
